Humanistic Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working in private practice with individuals and couples. The therapy I offer focuses on early affect confusion, abuse, self-harm, trauma, eating disorders, self-esteem. I am particularly interested in working with relationship dynamics and personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder (Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder), Generalised Anxiety, Depression, Narcissistic wounding and Dissociative Identity Disorder. I work as a Senior Psychotherapist within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in an acute setting where presentations include a risk to wellbeing of the service users or others and cannot be treated in an open environment. Diagnoses include psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism/Asperger’s Syndrome, and suicidality, with co-morbid personality disorders presentations (EUPD, Anxiety, Depression), self-harm, substance misuse and complex needs. Additionally, I work in a community setting as a Highly Specialist Psychotherapy for the NHS supporting clients experiencing their first episode of psychosis. I strongly believe in power of the therapeutic relationship and quality of presence and attunement within that alliance, held in a Consistent, Committed, Collaborative way. (My 4C’s Model includes Communication). I create a safe holding space for therapeutic alliances that facilitate growth using acquired expertise in Humanistic techniques (Transactional Analysis, Person Centered, Gestalt and Existential). Notable interpersonal skills gained through 20 years of experience working in corporations worldwide, and European Union institutions.
