I am interested in the ways people lose contact with themselves.
Often, this shows up as anxiety, overwhelm, self-criticism, or a persistent sense that something isn’t quite right. Sometimes it appears in relationships, at work, or in a feeling of living according to others’ expectations that no longer fit. Beneath these present difficulties, I am curious about what may have become too difficult to notice or express.
As a Gestalt therapist, my approach is relational and experiential, placing awareness at the centre of the therapeutic process. Rather than focusing solely on insight or symptom reduction, I am interested in how your experience unfolds in the present moment and what becomes possible when we bring attention to it.
In our work together, I pay attention to what is happening both within and between us. This may include exploring your emotions, embodied experience, relational patterns, and the ways in which you habitually respond to your environment. I do not work from a predetermined agenda; instead, I trust that what emerges in the therapeutic relationship can offer valuable insight into how you live and relate more broadly.
I believe meaningful change often arises not through striving to become someone different, but through developing a fuller awareness of who we are.
I offer psychotherapy in person in Brighton and online. My work is LGBTQ+ affirmative, and I welcome people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
If this resonates with you, I would be glad to hear from you.
