I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist, Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) and Metanoia graduate. I have been working in the field since 2006 across charities, therapeutic communities and private practice, and I currently work online with individual adults and couples.
My core training is in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, although my work has become increasingly integrative over the years. Alongside TA, I draw on relational and attachment-based approaches, polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness and somatic approaches to trauma and healing.
As a therapist, I aim to offer a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space where clients can explore difficult experiences, develop greater self-understanding and move towards lasting change. I am particularly interested in trauma, neurodivergence, emotional and psychological abuse in relationships, cultural identity, and the experience of feeling different or not quite belonging.
I am originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK and now Sweden. My own personal and professional experience of navigating different cultural contexts has shaped my awareness of how identity, culture, difference and power dynamics are important to stay attentive to. I offer a supportive space where all aspects of your own lived experience are welcome.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, including those who identify as BIPOC/BAME, LGBTQ+, gender-diverse, neurodivergent, non-monogamous and others whose experiences may have left them feeling outside of the dominant norms.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss working together.
