Bio

Helping you find your way back to wellbeing.

If you’ve been suffering from anxiety, feeling depressed, sad, down, or stressed for a long time, lacking any enjoyment with nothing to look forward to, I understand that life can feel miserable. Additionally, you may not understand why you’ve been feeling this way but know that you just don’t feel like your usual self, and you may be feeling powerless to change how you feel, or hopeless about things getting better. You might want to talk to someone about how you’re feeling but don’t want to burden friends or family or don’t feel they can understand what you’re going through, and maybe you feel nervous or apprehensive or embarrassed about seeking help from a counsellor or therapist. Maybe you’re aware that you struggle with feelings of low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and are very critical (strong inner critic) of yourself or others or struggle to maintain healthy relationships but don’t know what to do about it. You might also be struggling with issues relating to neurodivergence such as ADHD or Autism, or have had a recent diagnosis and are struggling to make sense of what it means for you, your life and relationships.

How I can help

I’ll help you find a way forward with hope and confidence that you can work through your difficulties, by providing you with a space in which you feel safe, and supported to explore, express and understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviour in confidence and without judgment. Together we’ll help you understand and find a way through your struggles, so that you can feel greater wellbeing and enjoyment, and discover the solutions to the problems and challenges in your life to find better ways of being in the world.

Couples Therapy

You may also be suffering due to difficulties within your relationship, and experiencing resentment, confusion, and other difficult and painful emotions. You might be struggling to understand the dynamics and patterns in your relationship, and why you keep arguing with your partner or don’t communicate, or why there is no intimacy when there used to be, asking yourself why your relationship is a source of pain and stress rather than love, comfort and joy. Issues in relationships I can help with include:
• Communication difficulties
• Conflict resolution
• Lack of intimacy and sexual difficulties
• Trust and infidelity, affairs and betrayals
• Roles and responsibilities
• Issues around parenting and co-parenting
• Money and finances
• Future plans and goals

I provide counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples therapy in South West London and online, in order to help people struggling with a range of issues including depression, feeling sad, anxiety (including social anxiety) and panic, stress, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, family issues, relationship difficulties, obsessions, compulsions and OCD, career and work issues, and making sense of any difficult or painful experience.

How I can help you

I believe that with the right help, everyone can find relief and freedom from their emotional suffering and effect the change they want to see in themselves, their relationships and their life. Which is why I provide the safety, support and understanding for you to work through your struggles and difficulties and heal from your pain and suffering. I’ll work with you to find solutions to the challenges and difficulties in your life and explore new ways of looking at yourself, your relationships, and life in general.
I’ll work to find the right approach for you, adapting to your individual needs in order to help you discover what you want to gain from counselling/therapy and indeed life, and how together we can help you achieve that. I believe in the importance of building a strong, supportive and non-judgmental therapy relationship in which you feel safe to share your difficulties with a trusted and experienced professional who is on your side. I also believe in the value of compassion, and place this at the centre of my work to help you find freedom from your suffering through developing a kinder, more nurturing and more helpful and positive relationship with yourself.
I use Transactional Analysis (TA), a form of psychotherapy to help explore feelings, thoughts, behaviours, and relationship patterns in a way similar to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), incorporating mindfulness to facilitate awareness of thoughts and connection with feelings. I believe that through having compassion and a kinder and more supportive relationship with themselves they can feel better, experience greater peace of mind and have more satisfying and happier lives and relationships.
