Hi, I’m Hannah Veseli, a psychotherapist working with individuals and couples in London.
I work with people who are struggling with the impact of difficult life experiences, relationship problems, questions around identity, low self-worth, anxiety, trauma and emotional distress.
Often, people seek therapy because they are tired of repeating the same patterns, whether in relationships, family dynamics or the way they relate to themselves. They may understand what is happening intellectually but still find themselves feeling stuck. Therapy can provide an opportunity to explore these patterns in greater depth and develop a fuller understanding of where they have come from.
My work is informed by the belief that our experiences cannot be separated from the contexts in which they occur. Family relationships, early experiences, culture, religion, ethnicity, gender and social expectations all influence how we come to understand ourselves and our place in the world. Exploring these influences can often bring new insight into current difficulties.
I have experience working with a broad range of presenting issues, including complex trauma, attachment difficulties, relationship issues, shame, self-esteem, loss, life transitions and identity-related concerns. I work both short-term and long-term, adapting my approach according to each client’s needs.
As a socially conscious practitioner, I place importance on understanding the wider social and cultural realities that shape people’s lives. I have extensive experience working with clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds and aim to provide a space where all aspects of a person’s identity can be brought into the room.
Therapy is an opportunity not only to speak about what is difficult but also to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships and the experiences that have shaped you.
