I trained at Metanoia, completing the MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy, and worked as a tutor on the person-centred programme from 2009 to 2015. Over twenty years I have worked across NHS services, therapeutic communities, psychiatric settings and addiction services. I now run a private practice in Brixton, where I work with individuals, couples and groups.
As a supervisor, I currently supervise the addictions therapy team at the Nightingale Hospital, and I have supervised in NHS, bereavement and therapeutic community contexts. I know Metanoia’s person-centred training from both sides, as student and tutor, and I enjoy supporting trainees as they develop a way of practising that is genuinely their own.
Alongside clinical work, I teach qualitative research methods as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Richmond American University London. I am also completing a PhD at City St George’s, University of London, on the psychotherapeutic potential of Argentine tango, which reflects a long-standing interest in the place of the body in therapy.
