Bio

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy and a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT®) with the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. I am specialising in person-centred expressive arts, person-centred experiential counselling for depression, and pre therapy.

I have worked within the field of counselling and psychotherapy since 2013, have experiences in working with people facing life-threatening illness and university students at various stages of their personal and academic journeys.
I offer psychotherapeutic support to people navigating a wide range of lived experiences, including end of life concerns, loss and grief, adjustment challenges, matters of gender and diversity, mental health challenges, relational concerns, and issues of self acceptance.

I offer clients a safe space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through both dialogue and creative expression. The intention is to listen, accept, and perhaps gently challenge the clients, genuinely and without judgement, in their exploration of the experiences. Through this process, I hope clients feel understood and have the opportunity to increase their self-understanding, enabling them to live their life more fully, making changes or coming to terms with things that cannot be changed.

As a psychotherapist who integrates expressive arts into their practice, I find inspiration in creative processes such as Kintsugi, ceramics, Nerikomi, dance, and playing the harp. I presented an arts-based research project, Kintsugi: Mending the Fragments of the Memories, at the APCCA conference in 2022, the research explored the therapeutic potential of Kintsugi in supporting people to hold and transform their experiences.
