I work with adults aged 18+. While my primary therapeutic modality is psychoanalytic psychotherapy, I also have a longstanding interest in the therapeutic use of mindfulness, as well as transpersonal approaches such as Jungian analytical psychology. My doctoral research examined the neglected role played by heterodox spiritualities in the formation of psychoanalysis, a revised version of which was subsequently published in the form of a book. I have extensive experience of working in various setting with a wide range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression and complex trauma. I worked for many years in statutory in-patient, community and forensic mental health settings before transitioning into private practice as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and reflective practice facilitator. My style of working is relational in nature and is focused upon the specific needs of the individual client. My approach pays particular attention to dreams, as well as to the unconscious processes that naturally arise within the therapeutic relationship. I am registered with the UKCP as an integrative psychotherapist, psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and clinical supervisor.
