My name is Lynda; I’m a qualified and accredited gestalt psychotherapist, executive business coach and relate-trained couple therapist. I work in-person from my counselling room in Surbiton, Surrey, and online, offering both short- and longer-term individual and couples psychotherapy.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and historical trauma, conflict and relationship difficulties, eating problems, bereavement, grief and loss; with couples experiencing relationship challenges such as conflict and disagreement; and with organisations and business schools as an executive business coach, helping clients with stress, confidence, conflict management and leadership challenges.
I like to communicate plainly and clearly, and do my best not to speak ‘therapy speak’. I aim to bring myself to our meeting – as a therapist of course, and also as a person – I’m very much not a ‘blank page’. My aim is for clients to leave therapy, coaching or couple work with a deeper understanding of themselves, equipped with practical tools to help them form and maintain more comfortable ways of living, whether that means better relationships, or relief from troubling mental states like low mood, worry, panic, bitterness and anger.
