The Transactional Analysis Department is actively engaged in all the projects within the Metanoia Institute Research clinic and takes a lead in:

• Evaluation of Transactional Analysis Group Psychotherapy, for which funding was received by Sutton and Merton Psychological Services. 
• Comparative Evaluation of Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute, in London and Corunna University in Spain. The European Association of Transactional Analysis has funded this research, using the research clinic methodology.

Student research

Although TA students are not required to conduct a formal piece of research, students conduct reflective enquiries during training,, using skills of action research. Their aim is to develop awareness, reflective capacities and impact the quality and depth of their clinical work.
