Counselling Psychology and Integrative Psychotherapy Research

Current Research Projects:

Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy by Professional Studies (DCPsych)

The programme requires candidates to produce an original research project capable of making a significant contribution to the field of counselling psychology and psychotherapy.

Copies of completed projects carried out by our graduates are available from Middlesex University’s e-repository at: http://eprints.mdx.ac.uk/view/divisions/Theses.html

Tutor team research and publications:

Current projects include an on-going evaluation of the intake procedure to the main DCPsych; this research has already had a significant effect on our intake procedures and the assessment of applicants and we are currently evaluating intake decisions against early performance on the course.

A related project focuses on level descriptors and standards, seeking to illuminate more transparently what we might mean by ‘doctoralness’.
