Innovations in Therapeutic Research: Where Science Meets Practice
A Kaleidoscope of Methods and Applications
For many years, The Metanoia Institute's Research Academy has provided a platform for exploring research methodologies in counselling and psychotherapy. In 2025, we take this tradition further by focusing on innovative approaches to therapeutic research and their practical applications.
This year's event celebrates the diversity and creativity in research methods, embracing qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and pluralistic approaches. With the theme "A Kaleidoscope of Methods and Applications," we aim to showcase how cutting-edge research contributes to practice, deepens our understanding of mental health, and broadens perspectives on emotional well-being.
The Methodology Seminars will delve into innovative research processes, exploring how novel methods address real-world challenges in counselling and psychotherapy. From addressing participant concerns to applying findings in practice, these sessions will inspire researchers and practitioners alike.
Alongside the seminars, the Research Papers and In-Progress Research Streams will highlight the dynamic intersection between science and practice. Attendees will gain insights into how research innovations are shaping more informed and effective therapeutic practices.
Whether you’re a seasoned researcher, a trainee, or a practitioner curious about integrating research into your work, the Research Academy 2025 offers a vibrant space to connect, learn, and innovate.
