UK Disability History Month 2020

It can be difficult to find out what support is available especially when you become aware that you may have a specific learning difficulty such as ADD later in life. Broadcaster Adrian Chiles discusses his experiences with journalist Anushka Asthana of being diagnosed with ADD:  adrian-chiles-on-being-diagnosed-with-add-in-his-fifties

The disability support service enables students to access their programmes by providing advice, guidance and practical support to students with specific learning difficulties, long term medical conditions, physical or sensory disabilities.

This service also provides support with applications for the government’s Disabled Students Allowances (DSA) scheme. The DSA scheme is set up to cover some of the extra costs you may have due to your disability orlong-term medical condition.  If you are thinking about making an application, contact me via email or telephone.   For more information on the DSA click here
