Metanoia Institute Delivery of Teaching Academic Year 2021/22

We are looking forward to welcoming all new and returning students to our buildings at the start of the 2021/22 academic year, as we fully resume in-room teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes for the autumn term. Metanoia Institute is committed to continuing its mission of providing excellent teaching and learning in counselling and psychotherapy training.  

We are returning to the classroom from Autumn 2021

We shall be welcoming all students back to in-person classroom teaching at the start of the new academic year.  We have listened to our students and know how much they value in room, in-person, interaction and learning experiences with their tutors and peers.  Our buildings provide a space that is alive with opportunities for academic scholarship, personal growth and learning, and the development of professional skills.  We are committed to bringing students together to ensure that they learn with, and from, each other.

Additional Online Opportunities

We shall continue to offer some online workshops, induction, CPD and additional learning and teaching experiences during the course of year. This responds to feedback from our students and builds upon the continuous refinement and efficacy of online learning. Metanoia Institute will use all appropriate pedagogical means to support our students to engage with their studies and achieve their learning outcomes.  The use of Zoom will allow greater participation in community meetings and Boards of Study, provide opportunity for extra-curricular activities that foster student belonging, and encourage a greater number of students to join and engage with Metanoia Institute committees

Metanoia Institute will also continue to ensure that library resources are available electronically wherever possible.  This will support independent study and research. 

Should there be a change to the status of the country in relation to the pandemic, Metanoia Institute would act accordingly and in line with regulations and advice.
