Facilitated by Professor Carrie Weston, this CPD session will review some of the historical roots of our social and medicalised understandings of disability and consider challenges and opportunities presented by the ‘dilemma of difference’. It is a session open to all, and will be of particular interest to those with an interest in understanding dis/ability, difference and what we mean by ‘equality’.
