Person-Centred Research Matters

We cordially invite you to the 1st research event offered by students and graduates of the MSc Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Applications.  This day is intended as a showcase of some of the research, both practice wise and theory wise, being undertaken and developed on the person-centred Masters programme. We hope you can join us in this sharing of on-going person-centred research activity.

Guest Keynote:  Sally Chisholm, Lecturer at Keele University

Topics being presented are: 

  •          Kate Hoyland: The bodily experience of those bereaved through the Grenfell Tower fire 
  •          Nilima Choudhury:  What is the British South Asian therapist experience of power dynamics when working with white clients in a white majority society?  
  •          Oliver Feldman:  Therapist experience of metaphor in person-centred relationships   
  •          Rebekah Hay-Brown:  Can yoga inform person-centred counselling?  
  •          Tina Chummun:  A study of South Asian female therapists who have worked with South Asian women as clients, and to explore the impact of processing spiritual and neurobiological information during therapy. 
  •          Peter Blundall: Understanding therapists' responses to boundary issues
