Course Leader for the Certificate in Supervision and the Certificate in Therapeutic Skills and Studies

The Metanoia Institute offers a range of taught psychotherapy and counselling programmes. The Institute wishes to appoint a Course Leader who can manage and contribute to teaching on our Certificate in Supervision and introductory Certificate in Therapeutic Skills and Studies. Ideally qualified in either Humanistic counselling/psychotherapy, with a strong background in teaching and a passion for the development of students, you will join a well-established organisation in a senior academic position.

In particular, we are looking for an individual who is able to take on a management role of these two courses and to also contribute to the teaching on these programmes. You will therefore make a substantial contribution to teaching, administrative and training activities on this Programme and take an active part in providing high quality training in counselling and psychotherapy.

The person appointed must be a professionally accredited psychotherapist and/or counsellor and be experienced in your field. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of high- quality educational experiences for all students and to have a thorough knowledge of theory, curriculum development, and quality assurance procedures. A record of conference presentations and publication or evidence of the potential to develop in this area is essential. You will have a Post-graduate qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy or Counselling Psychology, as well as a Certificate in Supervision and be registered with the relevant professional body (BACP, UKCP or BPS and HCPC).

Candidates should have experience in providing Counselling and Psychotherapy services and in supervising practice. Ideally applicants will have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or relevant teaching experience.

We encourage applications from all backgrounds, communities and are committed to having a team that is made up of diverse skills, experience and abilities. We actively encourage all applicants to apply as we are committed to equality and diversity as an Institute.
