Dr Margarita Chacin
Dr Margarita Chacín holds Chartered Status and is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is also registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC. She graduated as a Psychologist in Venezuela, followed by a Master’s degree in Health and Clinical Psychology in Spain. Further advancing her academic pursuits, she achieved a Doctorate in Psychotherapy by Professional Studies (DPsych) at the Metanoia Institute.
With over 17 years of experience in private practice and hospitals, including the prestigious NHS, Margarita has had the privilege of working with children and adults. She has several publications in the areas of cancer, palliative care, psychoneuroimmunology, and chronic pain. Most recently, she has been intrigued by the role of fatherhood and its profound influence on family dynamics and child development, exploring ways to promote positive father-child relationships. Additionally, she is dedicated to gender equality research, seeking to unravel societal factors that perpetuate gender disparities and working towards fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities for all. Embracing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, she aims to contribute meaningfully to these critical areas of study, making a tangible impact on the lives of individuals and communities alike.
