Silvia Baba Neal: MSc (P), CTA (P), Diploma in Supervision, Diploma in Education and Training
Silvia is a relational-integrative clinician, supervisor and trainer based in Herefordshire and London. She originally trained at Metanoia in TA and has been lecturing in mental health, research and the social, economic and political aspects of counselling. In addition to her teaching at Metanoia, Silvia leads the BA course in Integrative Counselling at Herefordshire, North Shropshire and Ludlow College, delivered in collaboration with Worcester University. Over the years she has published in the IJTAR and TAJ and has collaborated closely with IARTA on a number of projects – delivering webinars, being a panellist and process facilitator on online colloquia, writing blogs and publishing interviews with established clinicians for their website.
Silvia incorporates neuroscience, social psychology and nonlinear dynamics concepts in her clinical thinking and practice. She believes in the importance of writing and clinical research as a means of providing companionship to other practitioners who are exploring the underbelly of professional psychotherapy practice. Failure, forgiveness, love, transformation, post-traumatic growth, risk, freedom and play – these are all themes which she explores in her writing and teaching.
