Helen Skelton

Helen Skelton

Helen is a graduate of the Metanoia MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Applications and a UKCP registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. She has a busy private practice and her experience is wide-ranging, with particular interest in the provision of person-centred therapy to people who have experienced trauma and abuse and those who have mental health diagnoses. She has managed a therapeutic service working with women survivors of relational abuse and worked extensively with male survivors of sexual violence. She also taught person-centred skills and theory at Sussex Downs College. Her MSc research considered the inherent challenge to clients offered by a person-centred relationship. She is a passionate explorer of the person-centred approach and theory as a living practice, informing all relationships - personal, professional and with the self.
