2) Research Clinic and EBC Counselling Consortium; Coordination of External Placements
-
Research clinic underpins Metanoia Institute training and supports the students, in meeting their training requirements, by offering an opportunity to have the first practice placement in-house, as well as learn about the clinical assessments in the later stages of training.
Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (MCPS) also has an important role, in providing a service to the local community. In 2015 MCPS became a part of Ealing Counselling Consortium, with four(4) other voluntary agencies, within the EBC and gained funding. The membership of the consortium gives Metanoia Institute an opportunity for involvement, with other statutory and voluntary organisations within the borough.
The clinic provides research training to students, by teaching routine standardised evaluation of practice and provides a longitudinal stream of research data, about the clinical outcomes of humanistic and integrative psychotherapies.

- Coordination of external clinical placements
Placements Coordinator extends the function of the research clinic and delivers a service to students, by providing information about the external placements and opportunities, including mental health placements, and giving guidance to students.
