1) Development of Research Culture Projects & Events Across Programmes
Seminars are evening events, offering an opportunity for staff and students to present and discuss their research. The aim is to support an exchange of information about research within the institute, promote discussion and give staff and students an opportunity to practice conference papers and presentations.
Research seminars are usually offered free of charge and some may incur a fee.

This involves 3 days of research workshops at MI. This event offers research training opportunities to staff and students in all programmes, serves as a a resource to the research programmes, and develops research awareness within MI. Students and staff are offered reduced fee places, to incentivise attendance.

Staff research grant programme:
provides opportunities for the development of staff research activity and publication and involves an annual award of seed funding for staff research.
Society for Psychotherapy Research project into Student Training Development (SPRISTAD):
Metanoia Institute is currently engaged in a longitudinal international research project, into student development during training, led by the one of the international professional bodies (Society for Psychotherapy Research). Students across all programmes have an opportunity to take part in this programme and contribute to the development of the profession and the development of training at Metanoia Institute. There is a rolling recruitment into this project.
EATA Research and Theory Development Conference:
The EATA Conference is scheduled for July 2018 and will be organised by International Association for Relational Transactional Analysis. The Organising Committee will be managed by Biljana van Rijn. Hosting a European research event, is strategically important, in developing the research activity and reputation of MI staff. It will also offer access and opportunities to MI staff and students.
