Role Purpose

Thanks to the continued growth and expansion of our DCPsych programme, we are looking for HCPC-registered counselling psychologists and UKCP-registered psychotherapists to join our dynamic team. Our Doctoral programme in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy is accredited by the BPS and validated by the HCPC and the UKCP. Our students are eligible for registration with these organisations upon graduation, making our programme a leader in our field. 

As part of our warm, welcoming and supportive team, you will be vital in educating and nurturing the next generation of counselling psychologists/ psychotherapists. You will be joining us at an exciting time in our development. All our lecturers are encouraged to develop their own research and academic interests and are typically practising psychologists/ psychotherapists working in the NHS or private practice. Our students, therefore, benefit from your ongoing clinical and research experience and enjoy the diversity of our team and research interests.

While the Institute is your primary place of work, we offer a flexible hybrid policy that allows staff to work from home for the most part.  This arrangement is designed to accommodate your personal and professional needs, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Face-to-face teaching and a small number of meetings will be held at the Institute.  We have positions available from one day a week to full-time, providing you the flexibility you need to excel in your role.
