Human Resource Officer

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture the Human Resource Officer will provide hands on support in the running of the Human Resource department. Acting as a HR generalist you will manage and administer all elements within the full HR life cycle. The Human Resources Officer will play a significant role in implementing the organisations People and Culture Strategy and providing a first-class service to the staff at Metanoia. Partnering with the business and working closely with the Director of People and Culture the HR Officer will be a central point of contact for all HR matters.

 

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

• Manage and administer the hiring process at Metanoia.

• Create, manage and improve to ensure an effective onboarding programme.

• Advise and guide managers on policies, procedure and queries.

• Assist in the performance management process.

• Provie generalist and advisory HR support.

• Update and maintain accurate staff records using the organisation HR system (HR toolkit)

• Support the delivery of the People and Culture strategy

• Provide support on employee relations issue.

• Treat all details with the utmost confidence and ensure that trust is developed and maintained between the People Team and all Staff.

• Organising and maintaining personnel records

• Gathering and analysing data

• Actively engage in developing communication channels and build effective relationships with all Metanoia departments to develop and maintain a positive engaged company culture.

• Lead & drive on Employee Engagement and Wellbeing initiatives.

• Implementing HR policies and procedures

• Liaise with external partners to ensure legal compliance.

• Create and produce regular HR data reports and presentations on HR metrics.

• Provide support and manage all employees’ queries about HR-related issues.

• Oversee and prepare accurate payroll data for finance and payroll provider.

 

 

Essential Skills and Experience

• A degree in human resource management or any relevant discipline.

• Demonstrable experience in a similar field.

• CIPD qualified

• Excellent knowledge of HR best practice, employment law and HR theory.

• Employee relations experience

• Experience of implementing HR policy, processes and strategy.

• Previous experience administrating payroll

• Experience with HR software (HR Toolkit would be an advantage)

• Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular).

• Knowledge of Data Analytics.

• The ability to work well with others.

• Organisational skills and detail-oriented mentality.

• Strong communication and customers service skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Be able to act with utmost Integrity and to treat information with confidence.

• Thorough attention to detail.

• Familiarity with applicant tracking database systems.

• Knowledge of human resources and employment law.

• Demonstrate their flexibility to manage working on multiple projects at once.

• Must possess a high degree of professionalism and discretion and must know how to represent both the company policies and the needs of the employees
