The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
Metanoia’s Diploma in TA counseling is accredited by the BACP. Through its work BACP ensures that it meets its remit of public protection whilst also developing and informing its members. It’s work with large and small organisations within the sector ranges from advising schools on how to set up a counselling service, assisting the NHS on service provision, working with voluntary agencies and supporting independent practitioners. Metanoia’s Diploma in TA psychotherapy is accredited by the UKCP. The UKCP is an umbrella organisation, with over 80 training, or accrediting organisations in membership. UKCP works to improve and maintain standards opsychotherapy, holds the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counselors and consults on issues of concern to practitioners and support continuing professional development. The European Association for Transactional Analysis Metanoia is affiliated to the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA)
The main purposes of the EATA are to : To promote knowledge and research on Transactional Analysis, to develop its theory, and to ensure agreed standards of practice and to promote cooperation in Europe in the field of Transactional Analysis. One of its main functions as a part of this is to set and administer the standards for the qualifying examinations for transactional analysts. Metanoia, like all the other European associations, uses the EATA examination structure as the basis for accrediting TA professionals. The International Transactional Analysis Association
Metanoia through EATA maintains close professional ties with the ITAA. This is a worldwide "umbrella" organisation for TA and its main purpose is to help advance the theory, methods and principles of transactional analyis. The International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis
IARTA was founded in 2009 to promote the development and promotion of relational transactional analysis. The organisation, a professional and intellectual community of individuals who are committed to developing relational perspective to transactional analysis is open to anyone, from all four of the TA fields who are committed to developing relational perspectives to transactional analysis and exploring similarities and differences with other approaches, is open to anyone who identifies with its ethos.
