Course Fees (Academic year 2009-10)
Course fees may be paid by:
- An employer or sponsor, who will be invoiced for the full course fee.
- In full prior to the beginning of the course.
- A deposit prior to the course, followed by two direct debits, normally at theend of September and the end of November.
- A deposit prior to the course, followed by direct debit payments over the life of the course (an additional administration fee is charged for this option).
However fees are paid, they are due in full at enrolment and students are required to sign a contract confirming how their fees will be paid. Fees are still due in full if a student begins and subsequently withdraws from training.

Applying for Courses
To apply for our psychotherapy or counseling training courses, prospective students are required to complete a detailed application form and submit it with their CV, two references and four passport sized photographs. Because of this procedure, we are unable to accept on-line applications.When your application is received, it will be reviewed by the Head of Department to make sure you meet the basic entry requirements (see below) and if you do we will we will invite you to attend an assessment interview.For a course application form please see link below.
Entry requirements for the TA Counselling Courses
Metanoia’s Counselling courses do not require any specific academic or training qualifications. Applicants need to show that they are interested in learning more about counselling and in developing the personal and professional qualities involved in the practice of counselling or counselling skills. These include the ability to develop a high level of empathy with the client, tolerance of different value systems, a willingness and ability to cope with deep feelings and the capacity for self-awareness and self-reflection.
Entry requirements for the TA Psychotherapy Courses
Psychotherapy is a post-graduate profession and applicants require either:
- a degree in psychology or a related discipline (such as sociology, education, theology, philosophy, etc.);
- a non-relevant degree (such as accounting, art, etc.) with appropriate training or experience;
- a qualification in the helping professions (such as psychiatric nursing, nursing, probation, social work, teaching, etc.);
- a counselling diploma or equivalent qualification;
- and/or, relevant work and/or life experience. (Students seeking such an exception will need to use the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) process to establish equivalence once they have been assessed for suitability
