| Description of Practice | I believe that people have within themselves vast resources for development. Our ‘self’ is shaped by our unique histories, genetic predispositions and the inescapable fact that we live in a societies that place demands and constraints upon us.
Where development is blocked or distorted this is the outcome of relationships and environments which have trampled upon the individuals basic need for positive regard, and which have led to the creation of a self-concept and accompanying behaviour that serves as a protection against attack and disapproval.
I offer a relationship which creates new conditions, where the growth process can be encouraged and stunting or warping remedied. A therapeutic climate in which you, the client, can recover from past deprivation or maltreatment and begin to flourish as a unique individual.
I offer an initial free assessment to explore your needs and to assess compatibility. I can work with you on a short or long term basis and I offer 50 minute sessions.
I have respect for racial and cultural diversity. My service is on offer to all irrespective of gender, race, religion, class, culture, (dis)ability (wheelchair access is available), sexuality. However I am unable to offer sessions in any other language than English. I can refer you on if need be.
My fees are on a sliding scale from £20 – £40, depending on your ability to pay. Have no money? But still need help. Please still contact me and we will come to an arrangement.
