Doctorate in Psychotherapy by Public Works

This award is designed to appeal to senior and accomplished practitioners who have already made a substantial contribution to their field through a range of publications and/or public works which have been pivotal in the field and commended, reviewed and respected by peers. Candidates undertake an intensive audit of a group of their existing achievements with the guidance of an Academic Adviser.

From January 2007 Metanoia Institute has invited applications for the award of DPsych by Public Works. This award is designed on the same principles and assessed by the same criteria as the DPsych (Doctorate in Psychotherapy by Professional Studies).

This award is designed to appeal to UK and international senior and accomplished practitioners who have already made a substantial contribution to the field of psychological therapy through a range of publications and/or public works such as setting up and running a counselling service, policy documents, strategic plans, major organisational change, innovative and successful training programmes etc, which have been pivotal in the field and commended, reviewed and respected by peers. Candidates have been drawn from the UK, Europe, the US and Far East.

Candidates undertake an intensive audit of a group of their existing achievements with the guidance of an Academic Adviser. The Institute normally admits no more than 6 candidates annually. Procedures for entry are application and interview. For April 2012 entry, interviews will take place during February and March 2012 and for October 2012 entry interviews will be held in June and July 2012.
