Integrative Department BACP Research Award

The Integrative Department is delighted to announce that it has won a research grant under the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s seedcorn project funding scheme.The grant has been awarded to Research Co-ordinator Dr Patricia Moran in order to carry out an investigation entitled: ‘Bridging the Gap: How can Counselling, Counselling Psychology, and Psychotherapy Training Integrate Practice and Research?’.The project will involve running focus groups with trainees and tutors to explore approaches to training that enhance the integration of practice and research.The research grant of £2,500 will be matched by funding from Metanoia Institute, and the project will run for nine months, commencing September 2008.
