In addition to the academic course of study leading to the award of either MA in Psychological Coaching or MSc in Coaching Psychology, the Metanoia Institute offers coaching practitioner accreditation at Practitioner, Senior Practitioner and Master Practitioner Levels.
This is in response to the movement in coaching towards accreditation of practitioners. We have taken the decision to offer our own accreditation in order to ensure our coaches meet practice criteria which are coming to be regarded as the foundations of competent practice in the field.
The Metanoia criteria have been developed on the basis of comparison with other accrediting bodies. This ensures that our criteria are related to emerging standards across the profession but also, importantly, reflect the unique integrative, relational and psychological orientation of our particular programme.
Our criteria are closely linked to the assessment criteria of our academic Masters programme. As such, students successfully completing all the requirements for the Postgraduate Certificate will automatically qualify for Metanoia Practitioner Accreditation. Those successfully completing all the requirements of the Masters degree will automatically qualify for Metanoia Senior Practitioner Accreditation provided they have 250 hours of client coaching experience.
