Large Scale Change – A Gestalt Relational Approach

Date: 16th &17th May 2012

Cost: £350 for Metanoia members (or self-funded) £400 for Non-members or professionally funded.

Organisational change is today the norm rather than an occasional occurrence. This workshop provides a new insight into organisational change based on relational gestalt theory and practice.

The two days will be looking particularly at some of the challenges presented to us by complex on-going change situations and how the use of Gestalt psychotherapy can inform thinking and practice in that area. In particular:

  • Participants will be introduced to the Gestalt theory of Organisational Change
  • This will be briefly positioned in relation to other change theories such as Complexity Theory and Systems theory: key identifiers will be discussed
  • Participants will be introduced to models developed by the facilitator(s) in relation to Large Scale Change projects (the 3 S model).
  • We will explore other elements of Gestalt theory supporting facilitation of Large Scale change projects, including Use of Self as Instrument, Presence and an understanding of The Organisational Self. (Peer reviewed published papers by the authors available).
  • Participants will have the opportunity to look at their role as leaders/facilitators of change and gain peer and tutor feedback on their specific challenges.
